NOR’EASTER

The rain was pounding the window,
And the wind was bending trees to the ground.
The sky was gray, and the clouds churning
I didn’t want to get out of bed.

We had a little breakfast,
And watched Mother Nature performing.
It didn’t seem bad, but there was anxiety,
And I wanted to go back to bed.
I took the bike outside for lube,
I wanted to go back to bed.
When the wind ‘bout blew me over,
I was sure we shouldn’t ride.

Our ride ‘cross the bridge arrived,
The driver looked at us.
“We never ride in a Nor’easter,
You’re out of your mind to try.
” We asked if he’d go to Bethesda,
And a “positive” caused us to SAG!
