THE CRASH
It was a rainy morning in Jefferson City,
There were many cars on the road.
We were doing nicely in the rain,
Moving our bike along.
We reached the road to leave the town,
We were about to build some speed.
We came up to some railroad tracks,
Slanting "cross the road.
We moved to the left what traffic would bear,
and lined up squarely to the tracks.
The line wasn't right as the tire met the rail,
And the bike slid out to the left.
Down we went in an interesting pile,
A bike, two people and BOB.
We two got up and shook us off,
And checked the bike out carefully.
The Captain showed a little blood,
The Stoker seemed okay.
We got back on, and rode away
With thankful thoughts to the cycling gods.
