THE WIND AT YOUR BACK
As you move along, you really don't notice it
It is there as your favorite friend.
If you stop your bike for whatever reason,
You quickly get the point.
It may ruffle your hair, flap your jersey
Or knock you on your butt.
The tail wind you see is a fickle friend,
And is happy only when helping.
If you stop your bike to take a whizz,
Or just to fix a flat.
The tail wind will get you when you least expect it
And cause you all kinds of grief.
So the thing to do when the wind's at your back
Is put the hammer down.
Don't stop for anything man or machine,
Or Mr. Tail Wind will Jeckel and Hyde.
That, my friends, is a head wind!
