WHO SLEPT WHERE?

In New Jersey and other parts of the East,
Everyone claims it's Washington.
In the West along the Lewis and Clark Trail,
You can guess who slept everywhere.
It is fun to see the many signs
Making claims to attract the masses.
It is funnier yet, to know for sure
That the masses are laughing like asses.
It is a joke, but no harm done,
So long as we know - one night, one place!
