Tracy and Stephanie are morning servers (Stephanie was ours)at the newly remodelled Doubletree. Hilton has just spent three million dollars upgrading the facility; the lobby and restaurant area have the feel of a newer and smaller Awanhee. Stephanie is an amazing woman, having moved herself and her boyfriend from Oklahoma to Missoula - she felt they needed a change and a change that would include mountains. They are doing well and with her enthusiasm and drive they will continue to do so. |

We ate breakfast watching the river flow by much like we had done last night. It's an invigorating way to start the day. |

This is an apartment building near the Doubletree. I felt like I was walking by the Pink Palace back in Santa Rosa. |

Laurie, DJ, Jim and Carolyn are all from New York. They were part of a group who had spent time in the back country kayaking and having other adventures. All of the others had flown to Missoula. These four hardy souls had driven west and were getting ready to drive back home after having spent the night at the Holiday Inn Express |

This is the Children's Theater Ron mentioned in the Journal. It was built from community contributions, certainly an indication a level of community spirit here in Missoula. |

These bronze fish are definitely out of the water -- their role in life to be seen and touched in this park next to the river. |

This shot of the Clark Fork River is taken from the Higgins Street bridge as we walked the tandem to the Missoula Bicycle Works. |

This tented area is where the city each week has a Wednesday noon time "festival" with food vendors and music. |

Across the river from the tent is the old train station that now houses a museum. |

This crane mobile will be part of a fundraiser for the Children's Museum. Individuals will be able to purchase a crane with the money going to the Museum. The mobile will remain intact. |

Lisa Hoffman is the owner of this diverse art gallery. She is also an artist in addition to teaching classes. It was wonderful to talk with such a talented artist and business woman. |

This complex houses the Federal Building and Court, the Post Office and the Customs Office. |

The county courthouse is down the street from the Federal court. |

Here is the river once again. This time taken at dinner at the Doubletree Hotel. |
